With the opening of the Sweets and Snacks Expo
and the presentation of this year's
limited Expo PEZ Girl,
we anticipated the usual hysteria,
given that only 1,000 dispensers were produced.
attracts more PEZ collectors than perhaps
the Expo Truck or the Expo Pizza,
and the demand for it is enormous.
It was only a matter of time before the
first dispensers appeared on eBay for $250.
However, this year, PEZ has taken a new path,
by introducing
a unique and thoughtful initiative.
Members of the PEZ communities could
register for a raffle, giving them the opportunity
to purchase one of the 1,000 dispensers
for $50. Additionally, PEZ is donating a
portion of the proceeds to the Connecticut Humane Society.
Naturally, we all registered and anxiously
checked our emails, hoping to be among the lucky winners.
According to reports from the communities,
the emails have been sent, and there are some
fortunate recipients.
