Hyperrealism PEZ Easter Bunny Dispenser Prismacolor Pencil Drawing by Rachelle Byers

While browsing around YouTube, 

I received a very fun recommendation in my feed. 

In full color, Rachelle Byers entertained me for a full 9 minutes and 11 seconds. I watched the page come to life in a display of skill and imagination, observing Rachelle's hand dance across her sketchbook, coaxing the lines and shades into a breathtaking 3D image of a PEZ bunny. With each stroke of the pencil, the image seemed to stir, taking on a life of its own.

As the minutes ticked by, the once two-dimensional surface began to pulse with vitality, the bunny's playful demeanor coming alive in astonishing detail. There is something quite magical about watching someone with this much talent in action. Rachelle is also a PEZ collector, which makes her art even more spectacular to our world. I reached out to Rachelle and asked her some questions, and she happily answered them for us.

 How long have you been creating art, and what got you started?

Rachelle Byers

: I would say I’ve always been into art. From a very early age I said I wanted to be an artist. I took some time away from art in my 20s and have been strongly practicing again for the last 5 years.

 What inspired you to create the drawing of the bunny PEZ?

Rachelle Byers

: I have a good sized PEZ collection. I’ve always loved them and thought they’d be fun to draw. I’ve meant to do more PEZ drawings but haven’t had a chance. Hoping to do more in 2024.

 Could you walk us through your creative process when working on this drawing?

Rachelle Byers

: So when doing a drawing like this I think having a solid sketch is super important because those lines are your guides to getting portion correct. Once you have a good sketch down it’s a matter of building color. With Prismacolors you want to be careful to not press too hard otherwise it’s hard to develop color on top. Then it’s a game of patience. I find it hard to not jump straight into the details because I get excited, but I know if I wait it’ll pay off.

PEZ at the Altar: A Sweet Affair at the Air & Love Wedding Festival- Wedding Wonderland in Vienna, Austria

Whenever PEZ International comes to my 

hometown of Vienna,Austria, it marks an unmissable event, 

and I would love to bring you along.

 Here's a glimpse of what transpired yesterday 

at the Air & Love Wedding Festival, 

a fair curated for couples seeking inspiration 

for that special day in their lives.

PEZ has garnered significant sales success in Europe

 with its wedding range. 

The beloved bride and groom dispensers, 

available in various styles, 

are not only a hit among PEZ collectors. 

The complementary candies and Heart Fizzy Drops

 add a delightful touch to any wedding decoration 

and can be versatile additions to the candy bar or as guest gifts.

As I entered the wedding fair brimming with curiosity, 

it wasn't because I was planning 

my own wedding—I've been happily married for 16 years❤️. 

My goal was to catch a glimpse of new PEZ wedding

 dispensers or candies. 

Right at the entrance, 

my expectations were met with 

a life-sized PEZ bridal couple welcoming visitors.

 I couldn't resist capturing the moment in a photo.

Although the PEZ stand at the trade fair adhered 

to the organizer's specifications regarding size,

 it was meticulously detailed.

 The PEZ candy cake with the bride and groom on top 

proved to be a captivating centerpiece, 

drawing the attention of many visitors. 

Despite the absence of new dispensers or candies,

 the loving preparation and the presence of a PEZ dispenser

 or candy at every turn made my collector's heart race.

Taking the opportunity to converse with 

the PEZ representatives on-site, 

I learned that PEZ already has exciting ideas

 for expanding the range. 

While specifics are still in the early stages,

 I couldn't extract concrete details about the 

upcoming additions to the wedding range.

It's worth mentioning that PEZ had a special

Goodbye, 2023! The World of PEZ: A Look Back - Our 2023 PEZ Pictorial..

HAPPY NEW YEAR PEZ PALZ!

2023 has come to a close, marking yet 

another exciting and fantastic year 

in the world of PEZ. 

 

It's with great pleasure that we present our 

10th annual PEZ pictorial—a tradition 

we've cherished since 2014.

As we delve into the highlights of 2023,

 one noteworthy fact stands out: 

there were no new mini PEZ dispensers 

introduced last year. 

Surprisingly, there was a reduction in 

the total number of dispensers 

compared to previous years, 

with 103 new additions making 

the year vibrant and colorful.

It's important to note that while the

 donut was partially 

unveiled at the close of the previous year, 

it's included in last year's pictorial. 

Additionally, three dispensers are listed 

as convention exclusives, and the 

panda bears debuted in 2021 

but were officially released by the 

convention hosts last year.

Among the 103 new dispensers, 

PEZ treated us to 37 with brand-new molds. 

The distribution was 65 dispensers in the USA 

and 62 in Europe. 

Furthermore, the USA saw the launch of 

10 online exclusive dispensers, while Europe had seven.
