From 1927 to 2027! PEZ Launches the Official Countdown to Its 100th Anniversary

As many of you in the collecting community
 already know, we are approaching a truly 
exceptional milestone in the history of our favorite brand.

In 2027, PEZ will celebrate its 

100th anniversary.

What some collectors may not have

realized is that, according to the official
 information published on PEZ’s European website (here)

PEZ was formally founded on 

April 2, 1927.
That date marks the beginning of a story that 
has shaped generations of candy lovers and, 
of course, passionate PEZ collectors around the world.

An anniversary of this magnitude 

deserves a proper celebration. 

For months now, the marketing teams 

in both the United States and Europe have

 been working intensively behind the scenes, 

holding strategy sessions, planning campaigns,

 and developing exclusive surprises and 

special releases for 2027. 

For us as collectors, this strongly suggests 

commemorative dispensers, 

limited editions, 

anniversary packaging, 

and possibly event-exclusive items that could become

 key pieces in future collections.

To build anticipation, PEZ has introduced 

an official countdown on its website (here)

marking the days and hours leading up 

to the big anniversary. 

Of course, we want to join in the celebration,

 much time remains until the 

100th anniversary festivities begin.

The fourth VIP (Vienna International PEZ) collectors’ meeting 

in Vienna in August 2027 will also 

place the centennial of PEZ firmly at center stage, 

celebrating this extraordinary milestone 

in true collector style and giving the 

100th anniversary the attention it truly deserves.

Just like you, we can hardly wait for the
 final days to tick away and for the anniversary
 year to arrive, especially to discover all the 
surprises PEZ has prepared for collectors worldwide. 

If the scale of the preparations is any indication, 
this will be a landmark moment in PEZ history.

It’s going to be spectacular, of that we can be certain.
