EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: NEW DORAEMON & DORAMI PEZ...

We already had very nice PEZ dispensers that were specially 

produced for the Asian-Japanese market, 

Shinkansen and Kyoro Chan to name just 

two of the great PEZ series.
Now the success story is entering the next round.
When PEZ International announced the appearance of 

the new Doraemon PEZ assortment, with the publication 

of its annual sales catalog in February with a symbolic photo,

many of you, like me, have probably never heard of 

the Doraemon mascots before.
After a little research, Doraemon is a Japanese manga series

 by the cartoonist duo Fujiko Fujio, 

which appeared in Japan from 1969 to 1996 

and is also the name of the main character.
Doraemon is as well known in Asia as Mickey Mouse 

is in the western world.
The numerous episodes of the cartoon series are 

often provided with educational requirements. 

They have been translated into a number of languages. 

In the West, it was most successful in Italy and 

Spanish-speaking countries.

Many movies and awards followed over the years, 

so it is no wonder that PEZ will bring the popular 

Doraemon 

and his little sister 

Dorami

to the Asian market as PEZ figures, 

 likely late this year or early next year.
After talking to my Japanese PEZ friends, 

they are very happy about the new release, 

but at the same time would like to see more characters

 from this very popular series.
Here is the first look at what the two PEZ dispensers 

Doraemon and Dorima will look like, 

which we will be able to add to our collections shortly.
We can't wait to get this one!
