10 years at PEZ – it's time to congratulate CEO and Mr. Pezident, Christian Jegen!

The champagne is already chilled, 

Krissy and I have dressed up, 

put on our finest festive attire, because 

today we have something truly special to celebrate!

 

CEO and "Mr. PEZident" 

Christian Jegen

 is celebrating his 10th Anniversary at PEZ Candy Inc. 

Mr. Jegen may not prefer the spotlight, 

credit must be given where it is due. 

We would like to take this opportunity

 to extend our heartfelt congratulations

 on behalf of the PEZ communities 

and express our gratitude for 10 remarkable years.

 

 

But let’s start from the beginning: 

Christian Jegen's story reads like an American dream, 

from dishwasher… well, not quite. 

From 1990 to 1996, he worked as a Sales Manager

 for Aldi in Germany and the UK. 

Mr. Jegen then moved on to 

Haribo of America, Inc. in 1996, 

where he served as President 

for nearly two decades.

On January 7, 2015, a press release 

announced that Christian Jegen would 

become the new face of PEZ Candy Inc., 

taking on the role of CEO and President. (here)

A lot has happened in these 10 years, 

most notably the fantastic 

PEZ Candy Inc. online shop. 

While we used to enjoy hunting for 

new dispensers, today we can easily 

order most products online.

 

The company’s social media engagement with collectors

 has also been exemplary and deserves high praise.

 

We should also highlight the special 

opportunities created for collectors, 

such as the raffles for the  

10th Anniversary Visitor Center Cupcake

  and the Blue Sweets and Snacks Expo

Presenter Girl. 

 

These initiatives, requiring additional effort 

by PEZ Candy Inc., were organized 

specifically with collectors in mind. 

 

Twice, the hosts of American PEZ conventions 

were even given the unique opportunity 

to have their own PEZ dispensers custom-made 

by PEZ.

 

In the past 10 years, each of us has 

added some extraordinary pieces to our collections.

 PEZ has acquired impressive licenses,

 resulting in countless new dispensers, 

assortments, and candy flavors, 

as well as an extensive range of 

licensed PEZ merchandise.

 

New molds have also been introduced, 

including the beloved PEZ Candy mascot,

 the PEZ Presenter Girl, 

and the PEZ Treats series.

 

We have compiled a selection of highlights

 from the last decade for you. 

While this is far from exhaustive, 

behind every exciting innovation,

there has always been Mr. Jegen’s approval 

and signature at the end of the day.

 

2016 - 5th Anniversary Visitor Center Boy

The PEZ Visitor Center in Orange, CT, is celebrating

 its 5th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, 

PEZ has created a special limited-edition Visitor

 Center PEZ Boy as a commemorative tribute.

 

2016 PEZ Watchitude

 The PEZ Watchitude collection has been released, featuring a "Fun" model designed by Mr. Jegen with the beloved PEZ Mascots.

2018 Walmart Pickup Tower PEZ

The Walmart Pickup Tower PEZ dispenser is one of the most exciting dispensers for us due to its completely unique desingns.

2019 New PEZ Candy Mascots

The first PEZ Candy Mascots have been released, and with that PEZ has captured our hearts in an instant.

2020 Limited Edition Golden Spongebob

In a panic, we rushed into stores to search for one of the thousand golden PEZ SpongeBob dispensers!

2021 New PEZ Treats assortment.

The new PEZ Treats collection is here, featuring 

Taco, Burger, and Pizza. 

To date, we have added countless new 

dispensers and variations to our collections.

2021 10th Anniversary VC Cupcake

The PEZ Visitor Center is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, the PEZ VC Cupcake has been released. Additionally, PEZ is giving American collectors the chance to participate in a raffle to win one of 1,000 dispensers.

PEZ Candy Inc. was honored with the 

2021 Most Innovative New Product Award at the Sweets and Snacks Expo for its Mini PEZ Backpack Clips.

In 2022, we stormed various stores in search of the latest PEZ products.

Two new molds were introduced in 2023!

The popular PEZ truck was updated and debuts with a new mold, and in the same year, the NHL Jerseys were launched.

We couldn’t help but tremble, wait, and hope for that one special email from PEZ Candy Inc. to grab the blue Sweets and Snacks Expo Presenter Girl. 

At the end, PEZ raised and donated $12,500 to the Connecticut Humane Society.

All of this, and so much more, has been made 

possible by Mr. Jegen and his outstanding team 

of creative minds, and for that, we want to 

express our heartfelt thanks.

We would love to do an interview with Mr. Jegen, well maybe one day our dream will come true, believing in something can move mountains ;)

PEZ Unveils Mystery Silhouettes: New Bears or Mickey Magic? First Surprise of 2025!

The new year is barely underway, 

and PEZ is already off to a roaring start, 

delighting fans with an exciting surprise.

Today, PEZ International shared a photo 

on their social media channels, 

hinting that two new dispensers are on the way. 

 

The teaser image features two white silhouettes, 

leaving fans buzzing with anticipation.

 

We took a closer look, and 

spoiler alert, 

if you want to keep the surprise, 

you might want to stop reading now!

 

 

It seems there are only two possibilities: 

either two new Mickey Mouse dispensers 

or two new (Panda) bears.

 

After comparing the silhouettes to potential

 dispenser shapes, it’s pretty clear that the

 bears are the best fit. 

What also seems to rule out Mickey Mouse 

is the fact that as a licensed character, 

any new designs would require significant 

effort and bureaucracy.

 

So, two new bears? 

But what could they be for?

 

Taking a closer look at the teaser image,

 the colors are exclusively pink and blue. 

What does that tell us? 

It suggests, perhaps,

 a “Girl Bear” and a “Boy Bear.” 

 

Of course, this is purely speculation,

PEZ loves to keep us guessing!

The excitement is building, and we’ll find out more very soon.

A Glimpse into Christmas 2025: New PEZ Ornaments by Jim Shore

The start of a new year is also when the 

Ornaments manufacturers unveil 

their new collections.

 

Even though most of us may not yet feel

 the spark of excitement for 

new Christmas ornaments, we’d like to bring

 a little festive inspiration your way.

 

Jim Shore is leading the way this year, 

offering us an early glimpse of what 

to expect in the 2025 holiday season.

Last year, Jim Shore surprised us with his

 first-ever PEZ-themed ornaments—four delightful designs, 

with the intricately detailed 

gingerbread house being the undeniable highlight.

This year, PEZ ornament enthusiasts have

 two more treasures to look forward to. 

A cheerful gingerbread man greets us warmly, 

while a galloping reindeer prances into the 2025 lineup.

 

However, patience will be required—these charming 

new ornaments won’t be available until mid-July.

Hop Into Easter: Unveiling the 2025 PEZ Collection! Easter Highlights 2025 – 7 New Dispensers and a Surprise!

The three new Valentine's dispensers
 are gradually appearing in American stores,
 and now the next PEZ assortment is already 

on the horizon.

We are pleased to give you an 

overview of this year's 

Easter PEZ Collection 

as we will soon be receiving no less 

than 7 new dispensers!

The main focus of this year’s 

PEZ Easter collection is,

 of course, the bunny🐰, with no less 

than 6 new ones being introduced.

Last year, at the Sweets and Snacks Expo, 

PEZ Candy first presented the 

PEZ Peeps Bunnies to the public. 

Available in three colors—yellow, blue, and pink—these

 cute bunnies will make their debut, 

with the Peeps logo printed on the stems! 

As an additional surprise, a new 

Blueberry Flavor PEZ candy pack will be included.

We now have the Floppy Ear Bunny in 

four different factory variations, 

and this Easter, a fifth variation 

will be added, featuring a white head 

and a new pink face print on a matching pink stem.

In 2022, we were able to add the 

white full-body bunny, 

sitting upright on its haunches, to our collection. 

This year, two additional variations

 will join the ranks. 

American collectors can look forward to a 

pink sitting bunny, while European PEZ collectors 

will find a brown sitting bunny, 

both sitting on a yellow stem.

 

What would Easter be without 

a new PEZ Easter Egg! 

This year marks the 20th PEZ egg, 

available for both American and European PEZ collectors: 

a purple egg with a chick sporting bunny ears, 

on a yellow stem.

For those thinking that’s all, there’s more! 

This year, there will also be an Online-Only

dispenser for Easter, but it's still too 

early to reveal anything about it.

Of course, we have prepared a new 

Easter Egg pictorial as well as pictorials 

of all the new dispensers for this year. 

For us, this means making plenty of space

 and bringing the Easter dispensers closer together.

Let's look forward to a total of 7 new

 Easter dispensers (+1 online only) that

 will soon be hopping into our collections!

Exciting News: New Valentine's PEZ Dispensers are now available!

year are now available directly from PEZ!

This are exciting news for everyone 

who hasn’t yet spotted the three new

 Valentine’s dispensers in stores.

First, the bears—two new ones to add to our collections! 

We’ve adored the PEZ bears for years, 

with their many variations, 

and we’re always thrilled when new ones are released.

This time, we’re getting a brown Valentine’s bear 

with adorable pink ears, 

paired with a pink stem adorned with white hearts.

Then there’s the white Valentine’s Panda bear, 

featuring a red heart over its left eye, 

sitting atop a red stem with white heart prints.

USA only, the all new Valentine's Day PEZ assortment.

And of course, we can’t forget the hearts! 

Our display cases have made room for plenty of 

them over the years, 

and now it's time to shift things 

around once more for a new addition. 

The crystal pink Valentine’s heart comes 

with a charming purple heart printed on it,

 perfectly matching its purple stem.

 

For this year's PEZ Valentine's assortment, 

PEZ Candy Inc. has also designed a 

brand-new blister card.

 

Unfortunately, the new Valentine’s Twin Pack 

featuring the two adorable PEZ bears is not yet available online. 

We hope they will be added soon!

We can’t wait to welcome these three 

new treasures into our collections.

The Black Tie PEZ Pal Boy Frenzy: Luck, Controversy, and Collector Dreams New Year's Eve Chase brings big bucks on eBay!

It was probably the biggest surprise of the last year

 when PEZ released the two 

New Year dispensers just before Christmas.

The hysteria surrounding the black PEZ Pal Boy, 

limited to only 200 pieces, sparked unprecedented controversies 

within collector communities. 

While some collectors were ecstatic to find 

the Chase dispenser in their boxes, many 

others ended up empty-handed.

Some collectors managed to secure more 
than one dispenser by ordering under different
 names and addresses. 
Meanwhile, reports from European collectors 

indicate that even with a total of 40 New Year

 dispensers ordered, not a single Black Tie Pal 
was included in their shipments. 

From the start, it was clear that luck would 

play a significant role in obtaining one.

After my Krissy also came away empty-handed, 

we feel and understand your disappointment.

It’s no secret that supply and demand drive prices,
 and this case was no exception. 
The dispenser quickly soared to an astonishing
 and almost unbelievable resale price.
 This undoubtedly sparked a lot of conversation 
among PEZ employees and within their offices.

The prices achieved online could easily fund a vacation or,
 in some cases, be the equivalent of someone’s monthly salary. 
Predictably, accusations of greed were directed at sellers, 
and many blamed PEZ for creating this situation.

 However, we believe that by releasing the 200 dispensers, 
PEZ aimed to give collectors a fantastic 
end to the year—a move that turned out to be a
 brilliant marketing strategy. 
The dispensers are now on everyone’s lips, 
often achieving more attention than a paid 
advertising campaign could.

Ultimately, we are all mature enough to decide 
what’s right for ourselves—live and let live. 

While some may prefer to sell the dispenser for 

financial gain, others might use the same 

amount to buy a rare vintage dispenser. 

And that’s perfectly fine—our diverse perspectives make us all unique.

And at the end of the day, the most important

 thing is that we are all healthy and stay that way!

Looking Back on 2024: A Year in PEZ Collecting! Here is our 2024 PEZ Pictorial for you!

As the final hours of this year tick away, 

we want to take the opportunity to 

reflect on the 2024 PEZ year.

 

We’re quite proud to have been delighting

 you with our annual pictorials since 2014.

 (You can find all the images here.) 

Back in 2014, it was quite challenging to get 

decent pictures, let alone high-resolution 

ones in a front-facing view. 

Thankfully, times have changed, 

and PEZ now provides us with these images. 

A huge thank you to PEZ for that—we truly appreciate

 being able to pester you for updates! 😉

 

A quick note about our list: 

we have always listed the dispensers 

by their release date. 

For example, the new PEZ Barbies were released 

in the USA this year, but they 

already debuted in Europe last year, 

so they are included in the 2023 PEZ pictorial.

 

The new Valentine's dispensers are listed

 on our 2024 list, as they have already 

been spotted by several collectors in 

various American stores. 

How Would You Rate the 2024 PEZ Year?

Before we dive in, we’d love to know your thoughts:

We’ve got the answer for you, and it might surprise you.

 

This year we saw the exact same number

of new dispensers as last year (2023). 

To be precise, 

103 New PEZ Dispensers

 were released from PEZ this year! 

Breaking Down the Numbers

 Out of the 103 dispensers:

61 were available in both the USA and Europe,

45 were for the USA and

16 were exclusive to Europe.

 

 

Last year’s New Year’s slogan from PEZ was,  

“Out of this World,” 

had us all buzzing with excitement. 

Now we can crunch the numbers: 

25 of the 103 dispensers were online exclusives 

(including the Advent Calendar Elf and the NY-Chase dispenser). 

 

Out of the 25 Online Exclusive dispensers, 

18 were available online in both the USA and Europe. 

4 were exclusive to the USA. 

3 were exclusive to Europe (Including the Advent Calendar). 

 

Reflecting on that slogan, 

PEZ, you truly delivered—these releases 

were “out of this world,” and we love 

all the special editions! 

 

The Community's Perspective:

One frequent critique in the community

 is the recurrence of similar dispensers. 

This year,  

25 completely new molds 

were introduced, making up about a 

quarter of the total releases.

 

Ball dispensers, often a divisive topic, 

made a modest appearance this year, 

with only 5 released:

3 in Europe as part of the Emoji series 

and 2 in the USA as crystal flag dispensers.

 

Interestingly, like last year, there were 

no new mini PEZ dispensers. 

However, PEZ released 6 new PEZ Clips for the market. 

 Popular Lines and New Additions!

Dispensers tied to beloved franchises 

such as Minions, SpongeBob, 

Hello Kitty, and The Lion King remain favorites 

with young audiences worldwide. 

 

This year, we were thrilled to see updated

 molds for the Minions, The Lion King, Donald and Daisy

and the SpongeBob dispensers.

 

Two completely new series were 

added to the lineup in 2024:

Minecraft (available in Europe starting 2025) and the

Mars-Space Mission dispensers. 

 

PEZ also expanded its Moana 

(available in Europe starting 2025) 

  series, proving once again 

that they know what collectors and fans want.

 

And please let’s not forget the fantastic new 

PEZ Presenter Girl, who never fails to 

make us freak out every single time!
