We are happy to share with you Weronica’s experiences from the first Norwegian PEZ gathering.
Congrats to Kjersti, Thor and their family, as they did a wonderful job to
bring PEZ collectors together on their gathering.

so here ere we go...
Wednesday night I'm so exited, have packed my bags with PEZ and some other stuff. Feeling ready for Norway ! We went early to the bed, because we (my daughter Micaela and me) needed to get up very
early in the morning to catch our plane.
Thursday...hello Norway
Of course we were on time and got our plane in Arlanda, but had to change in Oslo. At the airport in Haugesund Thor picked us up. At the hotel we met Kjersti, Ivan, Ron and the two youngest children of Kjersti and Thor, Tommy and Alice.
After
hugs and some talks we went all together out for a trip, with cars to an old copper mine
in Visnes. Unfortunately it was closed but it was really nice to see and the the view
around it. We found a small Statue of Liberty and we learned the true
story about the big one in US. All copper used for the Statue of Liberty in US
is actually coming from Norway .
After the visit at the copper mine we
stoped at a giant candy store and actually find some PEZ, yeah. Afterwards we visted a small town called Skudenshavn with some really old small houses. We walked
around for a while and decided to have dinner at a restaurant. After the dinner we went
back to the hotel and talked more about PEZ and some more PEZ.

Friday..ready for the Vikings..raining morning, after breakfast we all walked to a
shopping centre near the hotel. After that Kjersti and Thor took us on a bus
ride to a very old Viking area in Avalosnes. It stopped raining but it was
very windy.
We had a guide who showed us a very old church, an authentic Viking area and a Viking museum. Lots of walk in great nature and it felt very special to walk at such an historical land.
Then after the Viking tour we all went to Kjersti and Thor's place for a super dinner. They live at the most
beautiful place ever, what a view from their house, wow, wow or as Ron said “
If I lived here I would sit on this armchair with a binoculars and just look at
the nature all day long”. And of course we got a chance to take a look at their
PEZ room. I got speechless I can only say wow, wow, wow. One of the best PEZ
room I have ever seen. Really looking so lovely, lots of PEZ great displayed in
showcases.
After that great dinner, really yummy dessert and a lot of nice PEZ talk, Thor took Ivan, Micaela and me to an even greater place, called Fjaera. Never seen anything like this. It was one of the coolest waterfalls we have ever seen and the nature around it was outstanding. We just stood there, our mouth opened, and just couldn’t find any words.
Saturday...the PEZ gathering...woke up, had the breakfast with nice company by Ron and
Ivan. Then we got to the room of the gathering and settled up our tables. I always enjoy it to see what nice PEZ stuff the others have. The goodie bag was also great; Kjersti and Thor did a great work
with it. The day went really fast by, very busy selling, trading and buying.
After lunch there was a lot of games for both, children and adults with a lots of great prices. In the afternoon it was time for the highlight of the day, the Bingo! Tons of fun and super great prices. I was lucky to win twice and my daughter ones, yeah. The day ended with a super cake made by Kjersti and Thors daughter Mona (the Queen of cake), super good looking and very delicious too.

After the gathereing all of us were very tired, but happy and
feeling great and satisfied. We went for a nice dinner to a restaurant near by
the hotel. Surprisingly it started to rain a whole lot but it also had a good thing because the
restaurant gave us free rain ponchos.
Kjersti and Thor have been great hosts and they managed to arrange a very
great gathering. This was the first one ever in Norway and I really hope they will
continue to arrange more gatherings in the future.
Now we are back home again and counting the days till the Swedish PEZ gathering on the 24th September, and hope to see many of you in
Stockholm.
